In this full-time role, you will be essential in bridging communication gaps between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality patient care and improved outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate interpretation services during medical consultations, examinations, and treatments between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers. Effectively interpret complex medical terminology to ensure clear understanding for both patients and medical staff. Assist with the translation of medical documents while preserving the original meaning and accuracy. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions. Engage in ongoing training to enhance interpreting skills and medical knowledge. Collaborate closely with medical personnel to clarify any communication issues. Document and report any challenges encountered during interpretation to improve service quality. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field. Fluency in Spanish and English with excellent comprehension and oral communication skills. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare protocols. Minimum of 2 years experience as a medical interpreter in healthcare settings preferred. Relevant certifications in medical interpreting are a plus. Proficiency with interpretation and documentation software tools.
