Job description
Proactive Global is seeking a trade-qualified Automation / Industrial Mechanic for a permanent, on-site role in Mascot, NSW, Australia. In this position, you will maintain and improve automated systems and industrial machinery, helping support safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair automated systems and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Work with engineering teams to implement automation solutions that improve production efficiency.
- Document maintenance work and prepare reports for management.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics in mechanical maintenance and automation best practices.
- Support machinery installation and commissioning in line with safety requirements.
- Contribute ideas to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Trade qualification as a Mechanic is essential.
- Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial automation systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on automation.
- Experience using maintenance management software and tools.
- Relevant industrial mechanics or automation certifications are preferred.
