BI & Reporting Lead

About the role

GardenCore is seeking a hands-on BI & Reporting Lead / Developer to help evaluate, stabilize, and modernize a reporting environment that is largely on-premises and built on legacy technologies. This technical, individual-contributor-oriented role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the reporting environment and help modernize it and transition it to the cloud. The position is based out of the Peachtree Corners, United States office.

The role calls for strong Tableau development and administration experience, advanced SQL capabilities, and an understanding of ETL and data environments. The successful candidate will work with data flows, build reports, troubleshoot data quality, and work directly with business users.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Tableau environment, including development, administration, integration, and ongoing support.
• Evaluate the BI and reporting environment, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop a modernization roadmap.
• Design and build Tableau reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Develop and maintain SQL-based data repositories and data structures for reporting.
• Work with ETL processes and data feeds to understand how data is received, transformed, validated, and delivered to reporting tools.
• Assess and quality-check new data feeds, including data received from large retail customers.
• Work with business users to understand reporting requirements, define use cases, and translate needs into reporting solutions.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate data, reports, and integrations.
• Coordinate user testing and implementation of new reports and reporting capabilities.
• Help modernize an inherited reporting environment following a divestiture.
