Billing Specialist

This is professional accounting work participating as a key member in the activities of the Finance Department of Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC. Responsibilities include assisting with the billing and accounts receivable, reviewing of various client invoices, organizational and functional areas within the Finance Department. This position provides financial support for Attorney’s, support staff and assists with the accounting services which include: billing, and client disbursements. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Finance Director.

Essential Functions
1. Works closely with attorneys to ensure documentation and billings are accurate.
2. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates accounts, reports, source documents, financial information systems, records of transaction for adequacy and effectiveness.
3. Provides consultation and technical assistance to Finance Director in the preparation of billing of clients accounts, use of funds, application or fiscal procedures.
4. Coordinates and works closely with other accounting personnel engaged in entering, adjusting, and reconciling financial data in an automated accounting system.
5. Performs related work as required.
