Job description
Select Source International is hiring a full-time Boiler and Refrigeration Technician in Rochester, New York. In this on-site role, you will maintain and optimize boiler, refrigeration, and HVAC systems to support reliable heating and cooling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boiler systems, refrigeration units, and HVAC equipment.
- Inspect compressed air systems and steam generation equipment to help ensure optimal performance.
- Accurately document repairs, maintenance activities, and system performance.
- Work with the engineering team to assess system capabilities and recommend improvements.
- Respond to service calls and emergencies to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow applicable safety and compliance standards during maintenance and repairs.
- Help train junior technicians and apprentices in trade practices and safety protocols.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience maintaining refrigeration, HVAC, and boiler systems.
- Strong knowledge of compressed air systems and steam generation.
- Industry certifications, such as EPA Section 608, are preferred.
- Proficiency with trade tools and diagnostic equipment.
- At least three years of relevant field experience preferred.
