Certified Weld Inspector Sign-on Bonus

MAU is hiring a Certified Weld Inspector for our client in Columbia, SC. As a Certified Weld Inspector, you will perform weld inspections, non-destructive examinations (NDE), dimensional inspections, and quality assurance activities to support the fabrication of pressure vessels, piping, and specialized equipment. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience2+ years of experience as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
Preferred Education and ExperienceAdditional non-destructive examination (NDE) certifications, including PT, MT, or equivalentPrevious welding experience
General RequirementsPerform day-to-day non-destructive examination (NDE) activitiesKnowledge of visual examination methods for identifying corrosion, metal fatigue, cracks, and other material flawsExecute inspection plans for pressure vessels, piping, and fabricated equipmentInterpret and review engineering drawings as requiredDocument non-destructive examination methods, processes, and resultsInterpret inspection results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and proceduresPrepare inspection reports and communicate findings to appropriate partiesProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to visually inspect structural steel, piping, and pressure vessel internalsStrong work ethic with exceptional commitment to safety and qualityMechanical aptitudeExceptional attention to detailAbility to work effectively as part of a team and follow established proceduresAbility to successfully pass a drug test, pre-employment physical, and background investigation
