Job description
Tasks
- Review civil rights cases, applying Indiana law and commission regulations, and draft consent agreements and written summaries.
- Conduct interviews with complainants, respondents, and witnesses, analyze findings, and make recommendations on probable cause.
- Facilitate conciliation conferences, negotiate settlements, and monitor compliance of agreements through onsite assessments and reports.
- Maintain case files, produce monthly statistics, and serve as a resource for training and outreach on civil rights laws.
