Job description
About the role
Hanger, Inc. provides orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) services and products. Under the direct supervision of a certified clinician, the Clinical Assistant assists certified and/or licensed practitioners with patient care and performs other assigned tasks. The role works under the general direction of the ACM/CM or their designee.
Responsibilities
- Provide OTS orthotics independently.
- Assist practitioners with patient care under direct supervision.
- Prepare rooms and patients for treatment, make and modify molds, perform technical fabrication, and complete administrative tasks.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
- Execute modifications, adjustments, and repairs as determined by the supervising clinician.
- Perform selected patient care procedures, including fitting soft good items, and provide alterations to their fitting if necessary.
- Provide follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients under the direction of a supervising certified clinician.
- Perform shipping and receiving, monitor inventory, and complete other clerical tasks.
- Contact vendors to order prosthetic and orthotic materials.
