Clinical Engineering Cyber Specialist in Germany

Olatokunbo Demola Salami is hiring a full-time Clinical Engineering Cyber Specialist in Germany. This on-site role focuses on protecting healthcare data, connected clinical devices, and engineering systems from cybersecurity threats. The stated salary is €75,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls for clinical engineering systems and sensitive healthcare data.
• Assess risks and analyze vulnerabilities across clinical devices and related systems.
• Monitor security alerts, respond to incidents, and coordinate timely mitigation and reporting.
• Work with clinical teams to promote cybersecurity awareness and embed secure practices in daily operations.
• Keep current with cybersecurity threats, frameworks, and compliance requirements relevant to clinical engineering.
• Maintain security policies, procedures, audit materials, and incident documentation.
• Help develop, implement, and review security protocols and audits.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and security principles.
• Cybersecurity experience; healthcare or clinical engineering experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant cybersecurity tools and technologies.

Work Environment and Reporting

You will collaborate with clinical engineers, IT teams, and other clinical departments to integrate security controls into healthcare operations and strengthen system integrity. The role reports to the IT Security Manager. This is a full-time, non-remote position based in Germany.

Compensation

Salary: €75,000 per year.
