Job description
About the role
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking experienced Construction Engineers with structural and/or geotechnical skills to work in its Contractor Services Division, which specializes in Construction Engineering and Temporary Works Design. The role includes site visits and field work at client sites. Project sites are throughout North America and predominantly in the Northeast US.
Responsibilities
- Design temporary support structures, shoring towers, work trestles, temporary bridges, and construction loading on structures.
- Prepare engineered lift plans, demolition and erection plans for buildings and bridges, alternative lifting operations, rigging designs and analyses, and crane layout plans.
- Work on support of excavation, cofferdams, pile foundations, and evaluation of buried structures and utilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- EIT and ability to obtain a P.E.
- 2+ years of experience in Construction Engineering (Temporary Works Design).
- Geo-Structural experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting with co-workers and clients.
