Position Overview

The Tally Clerk & Stock Officer is vital for ensuring inventory accuracy, stock visibility, and operational efficiency. This role involves physically verifying, counting, and recording shipments, primarily imported poultry and fish cartons, maintaining accurate inventory ledgers, generating stock reports, and reconciling discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock Tallying & Verification
  • Perform precise physical counts of all incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring shipment deliveries match carton counts.
  • Inspect imported poultry and fish cartons for proper labeling, correct weights, and signs of damage or spoilage.
  • Track and log product lines, cuts, and brand labels accurately.
• Inventory Ledger & Record Management
  • Maintain up-to-date daily stock ledgers by converting physical counts into digital logs and spreadsheets.
  • Record all stock transfers, sales releases, and returns promptly to ensure ledger accuracy.
  • Update product classifications, correct discrepancies, and organize historical inventory logs for audits.
• Reporting & Communication
  • Prepare and submit timely stock reports detailing opening balances, receipts, issuances, and closing stock levels.
  • Flag and investigate inventory discrepancies immediately and escalate to the Stock Manager.
