Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor electrical design staff to enhance technical expertise and project execution.
- Collaborate with the Office Manager to allocate staff resources and balance workloads efficiently.
- Review and ensure quality control of all electrical project deliverables.
- Support professional development through performance reviews and training programs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in client meetings and project interviews.
Technical Expertise:
- Oversee the design of building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, data/telecommunications, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform lighting calculations, circuit design, and electrical switchgear layout.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and collaborate with regulatory authorities.
- Lead system evaluations and feasibility studies to optimize electrical solutions.
Project Oversight:
- Coordinate electrical design efforts with multi-disciplinary teams from concept through construction.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets to meet financial goals.
- Develop project proposals and fee structures in partnership with management.
- Act as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
