Job description
We are seeking a talented Earthwork Estimator to join our dynamic team in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas. As an Earthwork Estimator, you will have a significant impact on the overall success of our projects, ensuring accurate cost estimations for earthwork operations, which are critical to the foundation of any construction undertaking. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for earthwork related to construction projects. Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope and material requirements. Utilize AgTek software for cost analysis, estimation, and bidding processes. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify scopes of work. Monitor and track project costs and budget alignments throughout the progression of the work. Participate in project meetings to discuss changes, progress, and challenges related to earthwork estimates. Develop and maintain estimating databases and templates to streamline future proposals and ensure consistency. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proficient in AgTek or similar estimating software. At least 3-5 years of experience in estimating earthwork or related construction fields. Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Certifications relevant to construction management or estimation are a plus. This position sits within a close-knit team of estimators and project managers, creating a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork and innovation. The Earthwork Estimator will report directly to the Chief Estimator and work side by side with construction crews to ensure seamless project execution. There will also be opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally with design and engineering teams, enhancing the overall project delivery.
