Economic Research Analyst, Foreign Investment & Infrastructure — Nairobi, Kenya

The Security Strategy Research Institute of Japan is seeking a full-time Economic Research Analyst in Nairobi, Kenya. This on-site role focuses on foreign investment and infrastructure development, producing economic research that informs policy-making and investment decisions for local and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze foreign investment trends in infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain models to evaluate the economic effects of policy changes and investment strategies.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research with organizational goals.
• Collect and manage data, ensuring it is accurate and relevant.
• Participate in discussions and meetings to identify economic development opportunities.
• Monitor economic, financial, and policy trends that affect foreign investment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of policy analysis related to foreign investment.
• Experience using analytical tools and software for economic research.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant analytical experience in an economic research environment.
