Job description
International Humanity Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Educator to join its Education Team in Nairobi, Kenya. Help expand educational opportunities for children in underprivileged communities through engaging instruction, mentorship, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging curriculum materials aligned with educational standards and diverse student needs.
- Lead interactive learning sessions that build students’ confidence and encourage a love of learning.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to support student success.
- Collaborate with educators and volunteers to share effective teaching practices.
- Support community outreach to promote educational programs and recruit volunteers.
- Help organize educational events and workshops that encourage family and community engagement.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to help students pursue academic and personal goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with educational software and online teaching tools is a plus.
- Previous volunteer experience in an educational setting is preferred.
