Job description
Purple Drive Technologies LLC is hiring a full-time Electrical Field Service Technician in Portland, Oregon. This on-site role installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and electromechanical systems at customer locations. Candidates with U.S. Army or U.S. Navy experience are strongly preferred for their technical training, safety focus, and ability to work in dynamic field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair electrical systems, power equipment, control panels, and related hardware.
- Perform diagnostic testing, isolate faults, replace components, and troubleshoot systems.
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled customer service visits.
- Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, company safety requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain accurate service logs, test reports, and equipment documentation.
- Provide customers with on-site technical guidance and training; explain system issues, repair timelines, and preventive maintenance recommendations.
- Represent Purple Drive Technologies LLC with professionalism and integrity.
Preferred Military Experience
- U.S. Army or U.S. Navy background, particularly experience with electrical or technical operations.
- Ability to apply disciplined, mission-oriented work practices, accountability, and situational awareness in field operations.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electrical or electromechanical equipment.
- Ability to conduct technical diagnostics and communicate findings clearly to customers.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including LOTO and applicable electrical safety standards.
- Ability to perform fieldwork at customer sites and document service activities accurately.
