Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad range of acute medical conditions and injuries.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and coordinate care with nurses, paramedics, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform emergency procedures, including intubation, lumbar punctures, and wound repairs, as clinically indicated.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow applicable medical protocols and standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings and case reviews to support quality improvement.
- Stay current with emergency medicine practices and healthcare advancements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Emergency Medicine board certification or eligibility preferred.
- Emergency care experience; 3–5 years preferred.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus.
