EHS Manager – Federal ConstructionLocation: Cambridge, MAPosition Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
SAVI EHS is partnering with a respected commercial construction contractor to identify an experienced EHS Manager for a federal construction project in the Cambridge, Massachusetts area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction safety professional who is passionate about maintaining a strong safety culture while supporting a high-profile federal construction project.
ResponsibilitiesLead all site safety efforts and serve as the project's primary safety professional.Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, project-specific safety requirements, and client safety policies.Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments while driving corrective actions.Develop and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and Safe Task Analyses (STAs).Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while maintaining accurate documentation.Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for project personnel.Maintain safety records, inspections, reports, and regulatory documentation.Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.Promote a positive, team-oriented safety culture across the project site.
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of construction safety management experience.Experience supporting federal construction projects strongly preferred.OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.EM 385-1-1 40-Hour certification required.BCSP certification (CHST, CSP, STS-C, or equivalent) preferred.Competent Person training in Fall Protection, Confined Space, Excavation, or related disciplines is a plus.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety management platforms.Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
