Job description
About the role
Security 101 is recruiting a Commercial Security Service Technician to service and program commercial electronic security devices and systems, including video systems, access control, IP cameras, intrusion detection, video analytics, and IP network systems.
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, program, and test enterprise security systems with minimal supervision.
- Support customer systems through remote diagnostics with professionalism.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems, and intrusion alarm systems.
- At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including working on the customer’s network. Alternative experience, such as a multi-site Network Support Specialist role, may also be relevant.
- Essential knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking.
- Ability to work independently and resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Valid driving license and clean MVR.
- Current certification or proficiency with access control systems such as Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, RS2, or OpenPath; video systems such as Axis, Exacq, Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Hanwha, or IPConfigure; or locking hardware such as Mechanical/Electromechanical, Assa Abloy, Schlage, or Von Duprin is a plus.
