Job description

About the role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Its family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center.

The Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software team, part of Anduril's Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) division, develops flight computer vehicle software for small drones (Group 1–3). The team is refining a common VMS for Group 1–3 UAVs and enhancing the current Altius VMS to support modularity, clean abstractions, and faster new-aircraft development cycles.

As a Flight Software Engineer, you will develop embedded software that powers Anduril's aircraft and work alongside engineers with diverse backgrounds and skills. The role offers opportunities for ownership, and the team moves from simulation to flight to solve real-world problems.
