Job description
Okechukwu is hiring a full-time Hourly Accountant in Abule Ijesha, Lagos, Nigeria. Join a collaborative finance team at a small to medium-sized company and help maintain accurate financial records, support efficient operations, and contribute to the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record daily accounting transactions.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budget preparation.
- Follow applicable financial regulations and company policies.
- Support audits and prepare required documentation.
- Respond to client and vendor questions about invoices and payments.
- Work with operations, sales, and other departments to support accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain complete, organized records of financial transactions.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma required; additional accounting education is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience in a similar accounting role is preferred, ideally at least two years.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Team and Reporting
You will report to the Senior Accountant and work closely with fellow accountants in a structured, collaborative environment. Cross-functional teamwork helps align financial goals with company operations.
