Part-Time IT Engineer — Japan (Remote Eligible)

MAPID is hiring a part-time IT Engineer in Japan. This remote-eligible role contributes to software development projects and the delivery of innovative IT solutions. Work with a collaborative, cross-functional team to build, improve, and support software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Code, debug, and contribute to software development projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement scalable software architecture.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and strengthen development practices.
• Document system designs and specifications for maintenance and future reference.
• Troubleshoot and help resolve IT issues.
• Track emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing processes.
• Take part in knowledge-sharing sessions and support team development.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in software development.
• Familiarity with programming languages and development frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• A master's degree is preferred.
• Experience working part-time in an IT environment is a plus.

Team and Work Environment

You will report to the IT Manager and work closely with software developers, project managers, and quality assurance teams to support project milestones. The position offers exposure to industry tools and a structured environment that values collaboration and innovation.
