Job description
Stier Solutions Inc is hiring an experienced IT Software Engineer IV – Java Backend for a contract position in Chicago, Illinois. This on-site role offers the opportunity to build and optimize backend solutions using Java in a collaborative technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, reliable backend services using Java.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective software solutions.
- Build, test, and deploy scalable web services and RESTful APIs for integrations.
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize code for performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development standards and best practices.
- Document technical specifications and communicate project progress clearly.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java and strong knowledge of backend frameworks.
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including Java backend services.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and deployment strategies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
