Jewelry Making Instructor in Baltimore, MD

Creative Development Studios is hiring a part-time Jewelry Making Instructor in Baltimore, Maryland. This in-person position teaches jewelry-making classes to youth in grades K–8 during the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must be located in Baltimore and have experience working with inner-city urban youth.

Pay: $50 per hour, with the job description listing a range of $50–$60 per hour.

Schedule: Days vary. Classes run for one or two hours per session, with instruction scheduled between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Multiple contracts may be available at different sites.

About the role

Plan, organize, teach, and supervise jewelry-making programs and activities in an after-school arts program. Help students build creativity and skills while maintaining a safe, supportive, and orderly learning environment. Instruction may cover a range of jewelry-making techniques and skill levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver jewelry-making activities that encourage youth creativity and development.
• Plan programs, services, and activities that help prepare students for success.
• Instruct, coach, and guide students through hands-on projects and techniques.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment and reinforce appropriate discipline and order.
• Care for and maintain jewelry-making supplies and equipment.
• Follow program goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Use sound judgment and initiative while building effective working relationships with students and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must be located in Baltimore, Maryland.
• Experience working with inner-city urban youth.
• Ability to teach jewelry-making techniques to students in grades K–8.
• Ability to plan and supervise engaging, age-appropriate activities.
