Job Overview
A nationally recognized law firm is expanding its Intellectual Property Technology Transactions practice and seeks a motivated junior associate to support sophisticated transactional matters involving intellectual property and technology. Duties• Draft, review, and negotiate technology transaction agreements and commercial contracts.• Assist with intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and software-related agreements.• Support transactions involving digital platforms, cloud services, and emerging technologies.• Collaborate with partners and associates on sophisticated technology and intellectual property matters.• Conduct legal research related to technology transactions and intellectual property law.• Participate in contract negotiations while helping clients identify and manage legal risks.• Prepare transaction documents and assist throughout all phases of technology-related deals.• Build strong working relationships with clients through responsive and practical legal advice.• Coordinate with multidisciplinary legal teams on complex commercial transactions.• Support client development initiatives and contribute to exceptional client service.• Participate in in-person collaboration with attorneys and clients.• Stay informed regarding evolving technology, intellectual property, and commercial law developments.

Requirements
• 0–1 year of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or current 3L expected to graduate during the current academic year.• Admission to the Illinois or Minnesota Bar, eligibility for admission by waiver, or willingness to obtain admission promptly after hire.• Interest in intellectual property and technology transactions.• Experience in technology, consulting, social media, e-commerce, financial services, or life sciences is preferred.• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment.• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.• Commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
