About the role
Positively impact the lives of youth in the care of the Department of Juvenile Justice by helping create and maintain a safe, therapeutic, and educational environment in facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide support, guidance, and structure for detained youth.
- Model, encourage, and reinforce pro-social behaviors, including patience, empathy, cooperation, professionalism, and respect.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must possess and maintain State of Georgia P.O.S.T. certification within the first six months of employment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Successful completion of a physical agility test, reference check, background check, pre-employment drug screening, and physical examination.
