Help Wanted: Live-In Support Staff

to Share Spacious 2-BR 2-BA Apartment

A fun 31-year-old man with autism (Harris) seeks a roommate to share his apartment in North Bethesda. We offer free rent and limited pay (for non-sleeping hours) in exchange for overnight supervision, companionship, and assisting Harris. Ideal roommate loves music and a good laugh!

Hours: Approximate schedule is from 8 PM to 8 AM.
Roommate must be available 5-6 overnight per week.
Exact days/hours negotiable.

Responsibilities
- Help Harris with meal prep, some personal care tasks, and household chores.
- Share meals and recreational activities periodically
- Coordinate with daytime staff (who support Harris at home and in the community)

The Apartment / Room
- Roommate’s bedroom has 11’ X 16’ has two windows and large closet. Roommate has sole use of the half bathroom.
- Recently updated apartment - sunny and spacious, with an extra den and a large balcony. Common spaces are furnished.
- Located a 5-minute walk from the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station, and is in easy access to Rockville Pike and Routes 495 and 270.
- The building has many amenities – parking, outdoor pool, tennis courts, on-site gym (under expansion, to be completed by Fall), and a delightful food market

Requirements
- No smokers, no pets
- Minimum of one years’ experience working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Application, background check & legal ability to work in the U.S.
- Move-in date: approximately July 1 (Opportunity to begin working prior to move-in).
