Manufacturing Engineer

Tasks

• Lead manufacturing process development from concept through production launch and ramp-up
• Define line requirements, workstation concepts, tooling, fixtures, and process flows
• Develop work instructions, SOPs, routings, standardized work, and launch readiness checklists
• Provide manufacturing inputs to factory master planning, including layout, equipment placement, ergonomics, and material flow
• Give DFM/DFA feedback in design reviews to improve quality, cost, and assembly efficiency
• Support PFMEA, control plans, APQP/PPAP, process validation, and run-at-rate
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, debug, and ramp-up stabilization
• Analyze OEE, cycle time, downtime, yield, scrap, and rework to drive improvements
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions (5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, 8D)
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, SMED, and Poka-Yoke
• Partner with Product, Quality, Equipment, Controls, Supply Chain, Facilities, and EHS teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering or a related field
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, production launch, process development, or industrialization
• Experience in large-scale manufacturing (automotive, battery, energy, heavy equipment, aerospace, or high-volume discrete)
• Strong grasp of tooling, fixtures, workstations, process documentation, and shop-floor execution
• Hands-on, shop-floor mindset with strong analytical and cross-functional skills
• Greenfield plant launch or major capacity expansion experience (Bonus points)
• Knowledge of PFEP, MES, SCADA, Andon, SAP, Teamcenter, and GD&T (Bonus points)
• Experience with machining, welding, sheet metal, assembly, testing, and coating processes (Bonus points)
