Job description
About the role
The Kidz Club PPEC provides high-quality and intensive PT, OT, and ST services to children attending The Kidz Club (TKC), a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center. PPEC centers provide daily skilled nursing care to medically-complex children, ages birth to under 21. Full-time, part-time, or PRN hours are available. All kids are on-site daily, so there are no appointments; you decide your own schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose developmental, congenital, neurological, and musculoskeletal disorders for the medical population, ages birth to 21.
- Develop individualized treatment plans following a comprehensive evaluation to address sensory processing, motor skills, cognitive abilities, self-care skills, play skills, and overall functional performance.
- Use evidence-based practice in therapy sessions tailored to each client's specific impairments, including sensory integration therapy; fine and gross motor activities; orthotics; self-care training; social skills training; and environmental or equipment modifications.
- Complete evaluations, treatment notes, and LMNs in a timely, thorough manner.
- Provide clients, families, and caregivers with education and guidance on strategies for carrying over therapy at home.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education.
