Make a Meaningful Impact in Pediatric TherapyWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a collaborative, mission-driven therapy team supporting developmentally disabled and dual-diagnosed pediatric students in a school-based setting.This role provides the opportunity to work closely with therapists, teachers, and multidisciplinary professionals while helping children and adolescents build the functional, emotional, and developmental skills needed for success both inside and outside the classroom.If you are passionate about pediatric therapy, thrive in a supportive environment, and value working within a collaborative pediatric setting, we encourage you to apply.
Patient PopulationThis position serves pediatric clients ranging from 2–18 years old with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses.
What You’ll DoDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesConduct therapy sessions independently with support from on-site or nearby supervisors and peersDeliver occupational therapy services primarily within ABA programming environmentsProvide OT services exclusively to pediatric clients ages 2–18Focus treatment on emotional regulation, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and developmental goalsMaintain an average caseload of approximately 30 clients weekly (typically 6 sessions per day)Complete timely and accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomesCollaborate with teachers, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to support student successKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in evaluating students upon entry into the programProvide individual and group occupational therapy services under Occupational Therapist supervisionSupport the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Prepare semester progress reports under supervisionParticipate in staff meetings, trainings, and therapy department initiativesMaintain therapy materials and equipmentPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned
ScheduleFull-Time, 12-Month PositionMonday–Friday ScheduleHours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
QualificationsRequiredAssociate degree from an accredited COTA programEligible for NBCOT (AOTCB) certificationEligible for Arizona state licensureAbility to pass fingerprinting and background clearance requirementsSkills & AbilitiesComfortable working independently while collaborating within a team environmentStrong communication skills with students, parents, staff, and community partnersExcellent organization, documentation, and time-management abilities
Physical & Work Environment RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the dayAbility to lift up to 40 lbs independently and assist with student mobility when neededModerate to loud work environmentAbility to work with students who may display challenging physical behaviors
