About the role
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a 10 hour Outpatient Pharmacist in Los Angeles, California. The role works with medical, nursing and pharmacy staff to provide patient care for people with cancer.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is tied #1 in California and has appeared on the "Best Hospitals" Honor Roll for eleven years. Its pharmacy department has over 500 staff members providing inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. The Cedars-Sinai Cancer Enterprise consists of two cancer centers and three affiliate sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for outpatient oncology patients with cancer-related disease states, focusing on hematologic care, bone marrow transplants (BMT), CAR-T and TIL therapies.
- Review and verify chemotherapy orders for accuracy and safety.
- Educate patients about their treatments and care plans.
- Monitor therapeutic drugs to optimize drug therapy and improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in oncology disease-related groups to support guideline and SOP development and updates.
