Principal Accountant

📢 Hiring: Principal Accountant
📍 Location: Jacksonville, FL / Charlotte, NC (Onsite – 5 days a week)
💰 Pay Rate: $75/hr on W2
⚠️ W2 candidates only. Local candidates only. Must be available to work onsite 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
-Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
-Research and apply U.S. GAAP and accounting guidance.
-Support investment, derivative, treasury, and deposit accounting.
-Prepare financial reports, audit documentation, and regulatory disclosures.
-Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
-Support SEC reporting and public company readiness.
Required Qualifications:
-5+ years of accounting experience; 7+ years preferred.
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger, and financial reporting.
-Experience in corporate accounting, technical accounting, or accounting policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Banking or financial services experience.
-Investment, derivative, treasury, or deposit accounting experience.
-CPA certification preferred.
