Programmer Analyst - Data Solutions

Tasks

• Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Analyse business and technical requirements to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, transformations, and reusable data assets.
• Implement and support lakehouse architectures, data models, and metadata management.
• Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on secure, reliable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, documentation, and production support.

Requirements

• 6+ years in Data Engineering, Data Solutions, BI, or Software Development.
• Strong SQL development and large-scale data processing experience.
• Hands-on expertise in Python, Spark/PySpark, and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, cloud data platforms, and distributed processing.
• Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, partitioning, storage optimisation, and query tuning.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Preferred: Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Semantic Models, Power BI).
• Preferred: AWS data and analytics services.
• Preferred: Data governance, metadata management, and data quality.
• Preferred: Financial Services or enterprise reporting experience.
• Preferred: Agile development and Git-based workflows.

Pay

• $100,000 - $120,000 per year
