Project Engineer - Electrical

About the role

At Sundt Construction, a 100% employee-owned contractor, Project Engineers are the technical source of information for projects. The role requires thorough knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders, and includes three steps: I, 11, and Senior, providing a progression of skill and experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders.
• Maintain effective and professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Demonstrate understanding of project management plan components, including scope, procurement, environmental, time management, financial, quality management, safety, and risk management plans.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of the change management process.
• Develop a procurement schedule and integrate it with the project CPM schedule.
• Procure necessary material and equipment.
• May assist with supervision and training of Field Engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction.
