Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst (also known as a Laboratory Analyst) for a contract position in Winchester, Kentucky. In this on-site role, you will perform laboratory testing to verify product quality, safety, and compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical testing to assess product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform testing according to USP, NF, EP, JP, FCC, and customer-supplied guidelines. Methods may include dissolution, titration, polarimetry, loss on drying, viscosity, residue on ignition, heavy metal content, FTIR, HPLC, and GC.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and test results to support traceability and data integrity.
- Inspect laboratory equipment regularly to support safe, efficient operation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Help develop and improve quality control procedures and laboratory best practices.
- Support training for new personnel on laboratory safety and testing procedures.
- Monitor and report quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a life science field.
- Experience with analytical testing and laboratory safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with laboratory software and data management systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
