Job description
About the role
Mayra Recruit is seeking a Quality Inspector for hands-on dimensional inspection of machined or forged metal components in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
This is a production-floor position. Candidates must be comfortable around heavy machinery, large metal components, high temperatures, and required PPE. It is not a warehouse-only, light-duty, or office QC position.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, final and/or first-article inspection.
- Identify and document non-conforming material and NCRs.
Requirements
- Dimensional inspection experience with machined or forged metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Understand dimensions, tolerances and specifications.
- Hands-on use of micrometers, calipers, Pi Tape/diameter tape and other precision measuring tools.
- Machine shop inspection experience is strongly preferred.
- Forge or hot forge inspection experience is a plus.
- GD&T knowledge is a plus.
