Job description
About the role
Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN. This per diem position provides rapid, skilled care to patients seeking emergency medical attention.
Mission Regional Medical Center is a 297-bed, non-profit hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services to the people of the Rio Grande Valley. It has offered quality healthcare for over 60 years and is rated among the top hospitals in the country for clinical excellence in services including maternity and orthopedic care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients upon arrival, determine the severity of their condition, and prioritize care according to standardized triage protocols.
- Provide direct care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries, including administering medications, performing wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain.
- In cases of severe illness or trauma, assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions.
Requirements
- Registered Nurses with experience in Critical Care, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Cardiac Care, or Emergency Department are encouraged to apply.
