Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit

About the role

Central Maine Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. The role involves delivering safe patient care and supporting patients and families in a modern acute care environment.

Experienced RNs with 2+ Years of Acute Care Experience are eligible for a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus. New Graduate RNs are eligible for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus.

Pay: $37.00–$51.28 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and maintain ICU standards of care.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
• Remain accountable for the care of assigned patients and maintain their privacy and confidentiality.
• Communicate changes in clinical condition, hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results and symptomatology to the physician.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course, Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
