About the role
Central Maine Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves delivering safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, while maintaining ICU standards of care.
Sign-on bonuses are available for qualified candidates. Experienced RNs with 2+ Years of Acute Care Experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus, and New Graduate RNs are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Eligibility and payout terms apply; details are discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and remain accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
- Communicate with the physician about changes in clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Completion of a Critical Care Course is preferred.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate.
