Job description
Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in San Bernardino, CA for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide vital psychological support to students, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting mental health awareness within our school community. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop tailored interventions. Provide individual and group counseling addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Lead workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on mental health topics and student support strategies. Monitor student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain accurate records of assessments and outcomes. Engage in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies or critical incidents. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being. Required and Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology (required). Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and school staff. Experience in an educational setting is preferred. Proficient knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies. Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in school psychology practice. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-focused environment. Licensure or certification as a School Psychologist is a plus.
