Job description
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Search Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Apache Solr and/or OpenSearch to join our team.
Requirements
- 4+ Years
- AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch)
- Apache Solr / OpenSearch
- Java, Python & Linux
- Distributed Systems & Cluster Management
- REST APIs, Query DSL & Index Management
- GCP or other non-AWS cloud platforms
- CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Docker & Kubernetes
- Monitoring Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch
- Git, Code Reviews & AI-Assisted Development Tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot)
- 4+ years of hands-on experience administering Solr and/or OpenSearch in production.
- Strong understanding of sharding, replication, consistency, and cluster topology.
- Experience debugging and modifying Java/Python application code.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning, automation, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with index lifecycle management and monitoring/observability tools.
