Senior Accountant

About the role

CFS is looking for a Senior Accountant for a highly visible role in a dynamic finance organization. The work goes beyond traditional accounting and spans Finance, FP&A, Content, and Engineering. You will gain a deeper understanding of the business while helping ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and informed decision-making.

The role brings together technical accounting, business partnership, and innovation, with exposure to SEC reporting, revenue recognition, complex transactions, and cross-functional financial analysis. Responsibilities

• Own key components of the monthly close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and analysis, to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist with SEC reporting, including financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules, and quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
• Support revenue recognition by reviewing contracts, evaluating accounting implications, and ensuring appropriate revenue treatment under U.S. GAAP.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Content, Engineering, and other teams to investigate budget-to-actual variances and connect financial results to underlying business activity.
• Analyze complex transactions and translate them into appropriate accounting treatment, documentation, and financial reporting.
• Help strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance within a rapidly evolving business environment.
• Evaluate accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
