Senior Accountant - Growth

About the role

CFS is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization providing technology and project-based service solutions across commercial, institutional, and government markets. Following a recent acquisition by a larger industry platform, the company is investing in its finance and accounting function to support continued expansion and operational excellence.

Reporting directly to finance leadership, the Senior Accountant will contribute to the monthly close process, financial reporting, operational accounting, and business analysis. The role offers broad exposure across accounting functions and the opportunity to partner with leadership and support process improvements during a period of expansion.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and account analysis.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, and bank reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results and investigate account fluctuations and variances.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
• Review corporate credit card activity and ensure proper coding and documentation.
• Assist with cash forecasting and liquidity reporting.
• Support external audit requests and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed, including collection support.
• Contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and accounting best practices.
• Participate in special projects, financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
