Senior Attorney – Large Loss/Excess Liability

Tasks

• Manage complex, high-exposure litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategies and assess liability, damages, coverage and excess exposure.
• Handle complex discovery, expert matters and depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions and manage mediation, arbitration and trial preparation.
• Maintain relationships with insurance carriers, excess carriers and corporate clients.
• Contribute to business development and the growth of the firm's large-loss and excess-liability practice.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Pennsylvania Bar license.
• Senior-level litigation and strong insurance defense experience.
• Experience managing large-loss, excess-liability or other high-exposure cases independently.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Preferred: New Jersey Bar admission.
• Preferred: Trial experience, including first-chair or significant second-chair responsibilities.
• Preferred: Experience with catastrophic injuries, significant damages or excess carriers.
• Preferred: Established client relationships or a portable book of business.

• $165,000–$185,000+ per year
