Senior Data Engineer

Tasks

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Develop high-performance data models supporting batch and real-time processing.
• Optimize complex SQL queries for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Manage data quality, validation, governance, and pipeline monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and improve pipeline reliability.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and software engineering teams.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Document data flows, data models, and architecture while contributing to data platform strategy.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Data Development
• Prior Apple experience is mandatory
• Expert-level SQL, including CTEs, window functions, and query optimization
• Strong Python programming and data processing skills
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Large-scale production data pipelines and ETL/ELT development
• Data modeling, data quality, validation, and governance
• Git, Agile methodologies, and production troubleshooting
