Senior Food Service Worker

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support cafeteria operations by planning menus, preparing meals, and overseeing food service staff and schedules.
- Order and receive food and supplies, maintain records, and ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP).
- Train team members and manage meal tracking, including verifying student eligibility for free and reduced-price meals.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency; preferably supplemented by courses in nutrition, record keeping, and bookkeeping. Successful completion of a minimum of three semester units or equivalent of at least one college-level course in supervision, or completion of a comparable sponsored training course in supervision, or the completion of the District’s supervision course is preferred. One year of experience in the coordination of the production of 500 meals a day or the coordination of the work of five food service workers may be substituted for the one year of experience.

Experience: One year of two-time experience preparing and serving 300+ meals daily, or one year of general clerical experience, preferably in food service.

Special: A valid “ServSafe Certificate” issued by the National Restaurant Association or equivalent certificate.

SALARY: $22.90 - $25.00 / Hour
