Senior Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

We’re partnering with a leading technology company at the intersection of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), engineering simulation, and AI to identify an experienced Senior Principal Forward Deployed Engineer.

Tasks

• Lead CFD analysis and technical strategy for complex engineering challenges.
• Design and execute large-scale simulation campaigns.
• Automate end-to-end workflows, from geometry preparation to simulation results.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to develop and validate Physics AI models.
• Integrate simulation models into customer engineering workflows.
• Develop reusable tools and scalable engineering solutions.
• Support customer deployments, technical reviews, and training.

Requirements

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline; alternatively, an MS with substantial relevant industry experience.
• Strong industrial CFD experience, including meshing, solver setup, and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Ansys Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, PowerFLOW, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of parametric studies, Design of Experiments (DoE), and HPC/cloud computing.
• Strong Python programming skills for engineering automation and API/SDK integration.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and customer-facing skills.
