🚗 Travel required: Multiple project sites within Texas, with occasional travel outside Texas as needed.
We’re seeking an experienced mechanical QA/QC professional to oversee construction quality, piping and equipment installation, pressure testing, mechanical completion and system turnover readiness.Key responsibilitiesVerify construction and installation comply with drawings, specifications, approved procedures and project quality plans.Coordinate inspections, review pressure test plans and packages, and witness testing activities.Review inspection records, NDE documentation, technician qualifications and equipment calibration records.Document nonconformances and track corrective actions through resolution.Lead final system walkdowns and manage punch lists through verified closure.Use Procore or similar systems to track inspections, deficiencies and turnover documentation.Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and mechanical completion milestones.Escalate unresolved quality concerns and stop activities that do not meet project requirements.Experience and qualifications5+ years in mechanical construction, piping, equipment installation, inspection, commissioning or related industrial work.Hands-on experience with pressure testing, construction records, punch list management and turnover readiness.Strong documentation, communication and coordination skills.Experience working with contractors, vendors, engineering, operations and commissioning teams.Preferred qualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Experience on PHMSA-regulated construction projects.Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, API 1169, AWS CWI, AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, applicable Operator Qualifications, and CPR/First Aid/AED.Location and eligibility: Must be available for onsite work, an in-person interview in Houston and travel between project locations.
