Social Work Consultant

Company Description Consulting Project is a defense advocacy firm that specializes in delivering tailored consulting support to defense attorneys by producing detailed reports prepared by experienced forensic social workers and forensic mitigation specialist.
Role Description The Social Work Consultant role is a hybrid position based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with a blend of on-site client work and remote tasks from home. The consultant will perform clinical assessments, and provide a biopsychosocial to enhance legal advocacy. The role involves collaborating with forensic mitigation specialist and forensic social workers and , preparing clear written reports and presentations. The consultant will also stay current with relevant clinical criminal justice practice, and social work methodologies to ensure quality biopsychosocial are produced.

Qualifications. Strong social work practice foundation, including experience with case management, client advocacy, biopsychosocial assessment, and referral coordination.
Demonstrated ability to analyze community based programs and services, conduct needed clinical assessments, and develop practical clinical recommendations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear biopsychosocial reports, guidelines, and presentations for varied audiences.Proven collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with the forensic mitigation specialist, clients, and multidisciplinary teams that may include defense attorneys.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field; licensure (e.g., LMSW or LCSW) in New York State preferred.Experience in the New York City social services ecosystem or community-based programs is highly beneficial.Comfort with basic digital tools and project documentation, including virtual meeting platforms and collaborative workspaces.
