Job description
About the role
Build and operate production cloud services, APIs, and distributed systems supporting its fleet of autonomous surface vessels.
Requirements
- Python and TypeScript
- AWS and cloud infrastructure
- Distributed systems and API design
- Databases, data modeling, and streaming data
- Production service ownership and observability
- 4–8 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Strong production experience in both Python and TypeScript
- Experience working across multiple repositories in existing codebases
- Bachelor's degree
- Willingness to work in the defense industry
- Must already reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and commute to Alameda three days per week
- Must have existing US work authorization; visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available
- Experience with telemetry, sensor data, IoT, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or geospatial systems is a plus.
